i think this is a very good book prescribed. AMAZON.COM&iliked it very much.

Thank you Mary Cantwell for the glimpse of my childhood hometown just prior to my arrival (e.g. birth). You confirmed all the stories and rumors...knew all the same names and gossip. I laughed out loud reading about the people I knew... their names the same as my friend's parents. I could feel myself walking the same streets, sitting on the same low walls at Blithewold, taking art classes in the chicken cooped art room of Colt School. How you pulled me in along side you.

Even Buffingtons! My pharmacist step-father owned this with his Dad later on. I even explored it's dark historical basement but sadly there was no ice cream in my day. An enjoyable read that held me fast. Not so far back in time to feel untouchable yet a town that did not seem influenced like other larger cities...no cookie cutter here. I had to remind myself it was not the 30's or 40's yet later - what a clever trick your words played on me. I am off to find your other novels.

The poems in this book really hit you in the heart. The authors ability to put emotions into words unlike anyone else is exceptional. This book will truly tug at your heart.

Angels of the Swamp is a great adventure for kids and adults. I am 33 and I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has facts mixed in with the fiction making it educational as well as inspiring. The nature lover will love this story, especially those who have grown up close to the west coast of Florida. It made me want to move back to my little home town on the gulf and live like Taffy, Jeff, and Jody did. I hope to read it to my boys and awaken the adventurer in them.

My step-dad told me about this book and I thought it looked pretty interesting. When my step-sister had left the book at my house when she went back home, I thought I'd mail it to her... in a few days. A couple of days ago, I started reading through the book and was hooked!

Just about everything in this book described how I had been feeling and all of the symptoms I was complaining to my husband that I didn't know how to get rid of. The timing was perfect. I've been trying to cut back on sugars and change my diet - gradually. This book is so amazing. I try so hard now to eat right, breathe, chew my food, etc. Because I'm so excited about it, my husband wants to try it and so does my mother!

I recommend this book to anyone who has ever had a struggle with anger, sugar, nicotine, or caffeine. This book doesn't just tell you that all of those things are bad, but the exact effect on the body and how to change it!

I am so happy I read this book - I feel so much better knowing there are others out there that feel the same way I do. It was a great book to get me motivated into tackeling my anxiety and phobias. I looked forward to reading this book every hour. The author gives reference to many other books on various subjects which is also helpful for further reading. I would highly recommend.

This book touched me more than any other children's book I've read. I bought it for my children who cried and laughed along with me. Robert and Abiah live in a cruel foster home, escape one night in a boxcar and travel to different places with a dog who follows them. The dog gets killed, Abiah and Robert lose each other, Robert is beaten by thungs. It is nearing Christmas and Robert wants to find his real mother and be with her on that day. He goes by box cars filled with hobos to the town he has heard she lives in. there are so many adventures in this book one can hardly put it down! The ending of the story is one that made my children and I cry. It is really a Christmas story and one of faith, hope, and terrible events that could have broken adults, but not these children.

This work offers great insight into the problems that people faced in the South during the drought. Woodruff is simply supurb in her writing style. A must read for those interested in domestic American History between the world wars.

I have personally used the set and found it very helpful with my anxiety, stress, and depression. It is time consuming, you have to listen to a tape/CD every day and take the time to work in the workbook, but the time you put in is definately rewarded.
