As a family therapist who treats teens with bipolar as well as other disorders, I think The Bipolar Teen does an excellent job of explaining behavior that has probably been very confusing and distressing to parents. Dr's Miklowitz and George take the reader step by step through the experience of the teen, possible causal factors for manic and depressive episodes, ways to minimize or avoid them and validate the difficulties for all involved. I will be using this comprehensive book as a guide for parents of bipolar children and teens. I see it as a wonderful way for parents to help their children and themselves both in a therapeutic environment and independently. So much attention goes to the child suffering with this disorder that parents can become overwhelmed, constantly seeking answers to the mystery of unpredictable mood swings and behaviors. I think this book will help parents navigate the difficult waters and will also aid them in advocating for their child's treatment and needs.

The only book I could find that really focuses on the teen experience from the parent's perspective. It covers the phases a parent goes through emotionally from the onset of his or her child's symptoms until the illness is brought under control. It offers description of what bi-polar looks like in a teen that makes it easier to share with family what you as a parent are going through without having to discuss in detail the particulars of your child's situation.

I CANNOT recommend this book strongly enough! If you have a BP teen or soon-to-be teen DEFINATELY buy this book! Such questions as "is it BP or is it regular obstinate teen?", IEPs, social anxiety, medications, different therapies for different teens, etc. This book covers it ALL! Easy to read and understand. Many "if this scenerio than use this technique" type descriptions as well. This book goes with me everywhere as I read it over and over. Also bought The Bipolar Disorder Survival Guide by the same author/doctor which my 15 yo is reading and also just LOVES it! We now have MANY MORE open and frank discussions on her challenges with both of us now able to understand the disorder better and also how she responds to it better. Again- if you are a parent of a BP teen- BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

A well-organized, empathetic, and truthful book about bipolar disorder in teens. When I first started my journey with my child I could not get a straight answer from anyone. Miklowitz gives straight answers - which I find refreshing and honest. There is no sugarcoating here, but he is not fatalistic at all. I did not find this book discouraging, I felt affirmed in what I already know. We want science in dealing with mental health disorders and there is plenty to go around, but those of us who are on the frontlines need experienced opinions and on the ground knowledge of how to tackle some very difficult behaviors and we need to be able to understand as much as possible.

Difficult subjects are discussed in terms that are not alarming. Advice is given from the studies they've done and the clients they've worked with in practice. I have to say, that's all I ever really wanted. I knew there were no answers, I just wanted some strategies.

No matter where you are on your journey with your child, this book will give you the tools you will need. Does it contain everything you need to know? No, not one book can do that, but it certainly comes close. I am very grateful for the work they've done and for sharing it so honestly and openly.

within me.  His inspiring story helped give me hope when I was very low
and filled with depression.  In time I began to feel my sad spirits
lift.  With Jeff's system I was able to find an outlet for my poor
emotional states.  My energy picked up, my self image improved, and my
overall quality of life was enhanced.  I recommend his book to all my

I've used weight training for a number of years to help me climb out of the dark abyss of depression. It has been much more effective for me than medication which I finally gave up on. I am very excited that someone has finally written a book that dispenses with the meat-headed "no pain no gain" attitudes and presents a sensible, simple plan focusing on consistent, gentle strength training. This book fills a huge gap.

Jeff Rutstein's personal story of using exercise to break the cycle of addiction is very inspiring, and he shares his hard-won wisdom in this clear, easy-to-follow book. His emphasis on "mindful movement" to reduce stress and feel better is a refreshing and welcome change from many exercise books that focus solely on appearance.

After reading "Breakthrough", I now have a different take on Exercise. Historically, my motto has been "no pain, no gain" which got me no place fast. I know now that having a connection between mind and body is the only way to live in serenity. This book has showed me that exercise is a lifestyle involving both mind and body. I will use this tool daily and encourage others to do so as well. Finally I'm able to breathe and exercise!

For years I have heard Christians say that you will fall away from God if you engage in meditation. Their words never sat right because the Psalms are full of verses talking about meditation on an aspect of God. I have searched for different tools to help me get closer to God. Knowing I should meditate but not really knowing how. I think Rhonda has done a fantastic job in producing this Cd. After listening to it I found myself saying 20 minutes can't be up. I want more. Wanting more of God is a great place to be.

There is so much to combat in our thoughts that tend to be worriful and negetive. Rhonda's tapes help create new thought patterns steeped in Scripture and soothing to the nerves and mind. Meditation isn't just for those of eastern religions...meditation on God's affirming Word is very much a Christian practice. David meditated often on the precepts and wonders of God. In the crazy world we live in, these tapes help to bring some peace of mind and much needed solace.

Award-winning meditation series! Refreshing spiritual journey!

Review Date: 2007-12-08
This meditation collection CD series produced and inspired by Rhonda Jones, is not only a remarkable achievement, but also brings power and presence from above; and strength to one's spiritual journey! Rhonda's award-winning "2007 Best Holistic & Healthy Website" proves the author's extraordinary talent and abilities through the anointed-audio compilation series that truly comes to life through the resurrection of the holy spirit from within. More power-on-high to you, Rhonda!

The Bible clearly states through Rom 12:2 "And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God". This scripture without question, brings to light the true meaning outlined in Rhonda's meditation CD series-that of, renewing--your--mind! As the bible speaks, ".......meditate on the word of God day and night.....". literally takes the believer "a step above" into that spiritual realm of truth-- by entering into that secret chamber, holiness of holy place by means of meditation-day and night, results in stimulating and clearing one's mind to hear clearly from God. In opening up our minds, the bible further says ".....presenting our bodies as living sacrifices..holy...." to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, we, as individuals, would be able to open up to HIS callings for our lives, establish a strong spiritual foundation in presenting our "total bodies" as sacrificial lambs through (self) meditation.

The author, heeding to God's calling in her life, ultimately captivates and catapults her audience minds into "His Holy Presence" -spiritual unconsciousness--by her smooth, articulate, resonating voice, which is not only transparent in narrative form, but soothing to one's palette in a very personable, delightful way. All (4 CD volumes) speaks to the trials of life and guides you into the art of meditation in specific topics with quoted scriptures throughout. We must literally Lay in Him & in the Power of His might to absorb His truths and it will comfort our walk:

...Vol 1 ..Negative Thoughts... - When satan attacks, we can quench those fiery darts with the covering of His blood by entering into His Holy sanctuary...-Prayer and Meditation!

Vol 2 ...Restlessness.....-- Asking God to intervene and give you rest and reassurance.... " " !

Vol 3 ...Eliminate Stress.... - Let go of the stresses of life and let Christ fill those voids.... " "

Vol 4...Divine Delay... -- Let us walk by faith and not by sight, believe on the blessings to flow... " "

I personally would encourage anyone to take advantage of all four audio CD's that will, undoubtedly, be a blessing and encouragement in one's walk with Christ. It will minister to your soul, relax your mind and speak to your spirit! It will give you the confidence and boldness you need to face life's most difficult challenges and obstacles we confront daily. When you are going thru adversity or need quiet time, take a moment to drop in a CD, specific to your situation, and see the POWER of the Holy Spirit transform your mind in the mist of your circumstance!

Thank-you so much Rhonda, for empowering me to overcome my challenges of life through "quiet times' before Christ, through meditation. I give you a 6+ rating! May God richly bless you and continue to shower His blessings on you! Continue on doing what you do best!

COYOTE REVENGE IS REALLY OK

As a mystery author with my debut novel in its initial release within this culture that worships youth, I suppose I should not reveal my age by admitting I actually once wore a presidential campaign button for the author of this mystery. I would've voted for him too, save for the fact that Fred Harris dropped out of the race long before the California primary. He would've gotten my first ever vote (see, I'm not THAT ancient!), but now I get to vote strongly in favor of his first mystery novel. COYOTE REVENGE is set in Oklahoma during the Depression. Times are tough for everyone, especially Hoyt and Inez Ready. Someone shoots them and then burns down their home. Two years later, the mystery is still unsolved when their son, Dub, dies under dubious circumstances. Dub Ready was sheriff, and the sheriff's job then goes to Okie Dunn, a friend of Dub's who recently returned home after dropping out of law school. Okie begins to investigate the deaths, and the investigation produces some interesting answers. Fred Harris has written a terrific historical mystery here, and it captures its time and place perfectly. I would expect nothing less from a man I still think would have made an excellent president.

o/~ "Many months have come and gone since I wandered from my home in the Oklahoma hills where I was born... Way down yonder in the Indian Nation, I rode my pony on the reservation, in the Oklahoma hills where I was born .." o/~ (that's Woody Guthrie singing about Eastern Oklahoma.) In prose resonate of the era, Fred Harris, formerly of the western Oklahoma prairie, and former U.S. Senator, has created a sheriff/sleuth that Sooners can be proud of. This is also a tale of those who stuck out the Depression in Oklahoma while the Joads went to harvest "The Grapes of Wrath" in California. I only have one question: Whatever happened to Progess Beer?

As an author who loves small towns...I felt right at home with Fred Harris's first Okie Dunn novel, "Coyote Revenge." It was like finding a wildflower pressed in an old Bible, or a photograph in a shoebox at the back of the closet.

"Coyote Revenge" was reviewed in the New York Times under Crime Fiction, but the mystery is pretty thin. Who killed the old sheriff? There aren't many suspects, so take your pick. The protagonist, Okie Dunn, is the new sheriff, but there's so little violence and so much examination of personal relationships that I'm tempted to call it a cozy. Police procedures in that time and place consist of shipping a gun off the State Crime Bureau by Mistletoe Express.

"Coyote Revenge" is a small, scrumptious slice of American life in the 1930s. Harris sets his novel in a fictional version of the little southwestern Oklahoma town of Walters. That's where he grew up, and where I was living at about the same time, so I know the territory well.

The story is simple. Okie Dunn is suspended from law school at the University of Oklahoma for decking a professor. He goes home, where his father is dying of lung cancer, and gets work as a cattle trader. When the sheriff, a boyhood buddy, is murdered, Okie pins on the star and sets out to discover "whodunit."

Harris has perfect pitch when it comes to the way we talked back then and there (and still do sometimes). His dialogue is a flawless rendering of what may seem like a foreign language to some readers. His description of the home cooking of that day will ring bells with anyone who grew up on either side of the Red River in the first half of the 20th century. Example:

"Most of Mama's recipes, if she'd ever written them down, would have probably started out with: 'First, get the grease hot.' All the meat we ate -- home-cured ham and sausage, newly killed chicken, a meat-locker steak -- was salted with a heavy hand and then fried nearly stiff. She salted and fried potatoes and mealed-okra, too, in plenty of lard. And Mama's string beans or a mess of greens always went into the pot with a good dose of bacon drippings that she'd saved in a tin can on top of the stove. Then, salted generously, too, they were boiled to kingdom come."

If you want an honest look at life in rural Oklahoma during the bleak years of the Great Depression, in a story told with humor and affection, this is your book...

Terrific period mystery

One of the most impressive things about this book is the period detail; set in the Depression, it convincingly captures a way of life unique to Southwest Oklahoma. There is wisdom, poverty, strength of character, humor, prejudice, and even a nice little mystery story woven in.

The only reason I didn't rate the book 5 stars was because of the mystery itself, which I think suffered because of the book's compact length. With too few red herrings, the short list of suspects made the "whodunit" aspect a little too easy.

Still, a very enjoyable read, and I will be reading the sequel soon.

I started out giving it five stars, but downgraded to four because the mystery was so easy to solve. However, and this is a big however, the sense of time, place, and people was so right on the nose that I could hear my grandfather's voice coming right out at me off the pages. He was born in the Oklahoma Territory and was one of the "Okies" to migrate to California to be called "fruit tramps." To write in such a way that I could see, hear, and taste the depression era thirties, I think, is evidence of an outstanding writer. To know these people, as Mr. Harris does, makes me understand my own family who were as taciturn as the characters in this book. With a few exceptions, everybody he wrote about came alive as someone I've known and loved.

Perhaps, in the end, the mystery of the story should not be the main focus, but the introduction of these wonderful people who shared the painful, hungry, trying times of the era should be. As I began this review by downgrading, I will end it with upgrading the book back to five stars.

This is defintely an overall positive book on a very negative topic. The author here explains a lot of different ways that you can get the serotinin back to normal without having to deal with drug therapy.

The one problem about this book is that at times it is hard to get thru. The author throws in a lot of information that I'm sure a lot of us wont understand. I wish it was just a little more simplified. FOr example, in one chapter, he explains how a vitamen b6 can be more effective then an antidepresent in treating severe depression. However, he doesnt list the dosage or the amount of vitamen b6 that might be required to take. (that can be a bit of a problem for some).

Yet, this book is amazingly written, anaylized, and hopeful. Its good to know that someone really researched all of these facts and figures. He had a much different outlook on the whole deal as he broke down several vital stastics that the mass media and drug conpanies would never want to admit.

Despite its uplifting appeal, This is more of a book for a professional therapist rather then a client. I'd suggest for the client to read some important parts of this book to the therapist. A lot of this information is complicated and since Syd doesn't list the dosages and the "How exacltys" to get rolling on the correct bandwagon. Almost all of these methods are hard to persue solely.

But again this is a good book and I hope it gets more recongition then it has gotten in drugged america.

As a psychologist wanting my clients to be educated on the biochemistry of depression and possible solutions, I have found this to be the best of all the alternatives I have read. It discusses all the treatments rather than focusing on one alone, as many books do. It is well written, easy to understand, and treats the reader as if he or she is intelligent enough to grasp a good deal of information. I think this book would help everyone in therapy, and would also help therapists in their attempts to help.

THE book on depression

If you're looking to treat depression without using drugs, this is the book to get. The book is packed with almost every type of therapy known to cure depression. If there's any academic research on the subject, Baumel mentions the study and also tells us whether it's an uncontrolled or controlled study (something I appreciate as an academic). He usually explains how the study was conducted in enough detail that it can be replicated at home. This means that he included supplement dosages and length of time needed to see results. He also mentions how to purchase St. John's Wort and light therapy devices, which could save hundreds of dollars.

The way to use this book is to read the therapy, see if it matches your symptoms, decide whether you're willing to make the commitment (e.g., am I willing to take B6 for the next 6 months?), and then to try it. I had to try several different therapies until I found ones that worked for me. If one didn't work for me, I would read another section of this book and choose a new therapy to try. One problem with the book is that it covered some therapies in limited detail, and sometimes I needed to look up additional information in other sources.

Before getting this book, I tried looking up information online, but there was too much noise rather than real information to get any use out of what I was reading. This book cut through the noise and gave a concise summary of therapies that I could use to help myself.

In summary, the book is well-researched and an excellent resource. Using this book plus some free online information, I cured my moderate chronic depression in three months without drugs. Thank you, Syd Baumel, for writing this book!

Forget about "touchy feely" talk about herbal remedies. If you're a skeptic, this book will change your mind about St. John's Wort and what BRAND you buy. Covers a staggering number of therapies in great detail: some you probably know like electric shock therapy, Prozac and cognitive therapy. Other lesser known therapies include Omega-3, 5-HTP, SAM-e, and Tyrosine. The author did his homework. Citing numerous clinical trials, studies, and on-line news groups, I found this reading a bit overwhelming or too dry at times, but only because of the author's thorough investigation. All in all, it was well worth it. Makes your doctors sit up and take notes when you talk about how YOU want to treat your depression. (that alone is worth it). An excellent reference that grows with you as your treatment for depression evolves.

The Central Coast of California has long been a favorite vacation spot for my family. The sign, "HARMONY Population 18," would always draw a smile as we wound our way up Highway 1. Recently, we stopped and visited the quaint artist town. As I walked down the street I could not help but wonder what this town was like years ago when perhaps it was a bustling community.
Alicia Copeland has marvelously crafted just such a "wondering" with Discord in Harmony. She has authentically captured the feel of a simpler time and place while presenting to us characters that are complex and nuanced. The story revolves around a mystery, which begins with petty theft but then darkly evolves into scandal, cover-up and murder. And through swirl of conflicts, both internal and external, our little town of Harmony is thrown into discord; yet Cletus Haley, our protagonist remains true as a father, Sheriff, and as a man.
So convincing is Ms. Copeland's storytelling that I can well imagine myself visiting one of those old, abandoned cemeteries on the Central Coast and finding the graves of Cletus and Ruby. How did their lives unfolded after we had left them in Discord? I can only hope that a sequel to this excellent and highly recommended novel will assuage my curiosity.

I know of Dr. Norman Rosenthal as an outstanding psychiatric researcher, but it was a very pleasant surprise to find his new book, The Emotional Revolution, so fascinating and readable. The book is packed with wisdom, stories and hints that could be useful to anybody.

I liked the way Rosenthal shows how emotions can help or hurt us depending on their degree and context. One story that comes to mind is about a woman who ignored her fear instinct to her regret, but there are so many interesting tales that it is worth reading for them alone. Rosenthal's description of a visit to the famous neurologist and legendary Holocaust survivor, Viktor Frankl, was particularly moving to me.

Bottom line: I enthusiastically recommend this book to everybody.

As a person from a troubled background, I found this book immensely helpful. Norman Rosenthal has gone beyond the limits of his earlier work, "Winter Blues". He has written this up-to-the-minute guide for anyone who is bewildered by emotions and who wants concrete solutions. Today's medical research looks at the structure and function of the brain as it is, no longer probling for how a person may have felt in years gone by. This book makes it clear that the "revolution" is in the change of attitude by health professionals, as a result of this research. Instead of being frustrated by the behavior of a troubled person, the helping professionals can now offer concrete relief to the troubled soul. Everyone benefits. Dr. Rosenthal was one of the pioneers in finding and treating the roots of clincial depression. Here, he has organized today's knowlege of the spectrum of human emotions and its effects. This easy-to-read volume asks the right questions and provides useful answers. It's a keeper.

I cannot say enough about "The Emotional Revolution"! Dr. Norman Rosenthal has compiled an astonishing amount of cutting edge clinical research and history, combined this information with his clinical expertise, and morphed it into a comprehensible book loaded with astute insights and practical advice you can use every day. One of the more remarkable elements of his writing is his ability to synthesize massive amounts of highly technical brain research into easily understandable text, so you really KNOW what's going on with your brain when you are sad, happy, relaxed, or angry. He then uses examples, vignettes and very specific behavioral guidelines to show you what simple steps you can take to lead a happier, healthier life. Dr. Rosenthal's brilliant, seamless, sensitive, writing will educate, fascinate, and benefit all who are fortunate to read it. Five stars, with gusto!

Highly recommneded. The author simplified complex matters and lays it down in simple terminology. Should be a text book for Management courses. I have read many books on how the brain works and the science behind living a daily normal life, but this book sort of cracks the code to our individual wiring.

Forever the Fat Kid: How I Survived Dysfunction, Depression & Life in the Theater

As a writer, Michael's story spans all the possible human emotions - joy, sadness, humor, hope - all weaved craftily into a self portrait of a man who has ridden the crest of life's excitement and adversity in a quest to find himself.

Michael's style is very effective. He provides an easy read without being overly simple. He has honed the rare ability of infusing humor in just the right moments, where some of the life experiences he shares could cause the reader to simply sit back and risk becoming envoloped in the sadness of the event at hand. But Michael releaves that tension, almost in the spirit of saying, "yes, this was bad, but come on kids, it's time to move on". The reader will surely have the feeling through Micahel's prose of almost "hearing" Michael tell the story, like two old friends sitting across from each other over coffee! This is the comfort and effectiveness of this author's ability to share so many personal observations and personal history.

I highly recommend this book. Despite a reader's race, religious/social, or economic background, I believe they, as I have, will come to appreciate what they find within Michael, and will go away with finding and appreciating just a little bit more about themselves as well.

(RAW Rating 4.5) The quintessential minimalistic memoir

If you're looking for a memoir chronicling a harrowing journey from fat to fantastic--this ain't it. The title and cover blurb only relate to a minor part of the book; but it does get the reader to open the book and that's where the adventure begins!

Michael Boyd--choreographer, director, actor, dancer--has opened his heart and with rare, raw honesty, given the reader a glimpse of his extraordinary life in his quest to be an actor. FOREVER THE FAT KID is the quintessential minimalistic memoir. With Mr. Boyd, less truly is more. The reader will laugh, cry and sigh over the life lessons the author shares--life lessons of which everyone can relate. However, it's Boyd's pure flair, exotic elan and joi de vivre that holds the reader captivated. Family members and friends come to life as vividly as the characters in his Broadway plays; dialogue is as exquisitely choreographed as his musicals; and the plot rivals that of any riveting bestseller at the top of the New York Times list.

FOREVER THE FAT KID is a literary treat readers will savor for years to come. Congratulations, Michael Boyd, for a job well done and a life well lived...and your unselfishness in sharing it with us.

What an incredible sharing this book is. I felt immediately drawn into Mr. Boyd's world and was able to see with his eyes and feel with his heart how he was able to live his early life with such courage and strength. A heartwarming book that will resonate with everyone who reads it.

Michael Boyd is a master storyteller and his book a fantastic journey through a life.
Funny, bold, odd, mystical, sad, truthful & courageous are words that come to mind. You step through a door on page one and get deeply involved and emotionally connected to all you meet on the following pages. Boyd's honesty is refreshing and moving. However, it is his humor that makes parts of the book feel like a magic carpet ride through the quirky, especially the parts about the theatre and Disney. The "Fat Kid" story is just a part of a great tapestry. This is the type of book that you rush to get back to reading. Wow, what a story!

I have never felt compelled to write a review of a book before, but I need to share this book with as many people as possible. Heartbreaking and inspirational, Forever the Fat Kid is much more than a memoir - Boyd's personal journey offers a transforming philosophical look at life, the world, and the importance of our relationships with each other. Many of his stories emphasize how one person can profoundly change someone's life in either a negative or positive way without always knowing the impact, and how painfully and tragically we can also get caught up in our own lives and neglect a friend or relative.

Although I often read in the subway in order to forget that I'm in the subway, it rarely happens. Several times while reading this book, I almost missed my stop. You not only read, but also hear Michael Boyd's powerful voice in your ear telling his story. I found myself weeping, sobbing and howling with laughter - in other words - really feeling, rather than observing someone else's life. Inspired by Boyd's courageous and brutal honesty, I also found myself re-examining my own experiences and choices.

One of the most meaningful lessons learned from this book is tolerance and acceptance of others and of self. Boyd reminds us to embrace that part of us that we try to run away from and understand how it has defined who we have become, and are always in the process of becoming.

This is the kind of book that you not only read, but also want to buy as a gift for friends. I am looking forward to reading what he writes next...

this is truly one of the best books available for implementing behavior change. the self-defeating behavior exercise forces you to look at what you're doing regardless of how ready you are for change. if you are motivated already, it can help propel you forward. it's amazing how something so simple in theory can be one of the most confrontational and powerfully motivational tools for healing. people often just don't get it until you spell it out for them in black and white. this book is the shortest distance between two points. the self-defeating behavior exercise makes you look at negative patterns and self-perpetuating cycles brought on by just one core issue. the visual aspect of this exercise makes it really stick in memory as a reminder of the results of a certain behavior. this, then, can force you to give pause long enough to implement a more adaptive skill or coping mechanism.

Their individual expertise combines to form a wonderfully warm and thoughtful book. I have only been listening to this cd for approximately one week and I already notice a difference. I wake up feeling less tired and not dreading the day. I seem to have a more positive outlook when I wake up. I have been falling asleep to it and waking up to it and as the cd suggests these are optimal times to listen. I have mild depression so I don't know how it would work with someone with more severe depression but it is worth trying!

Simply put, this disc is the best of its kind available.

It consists of three tracks covering instructions, a guided visualization, and affirmations. As the instructions point out, different people will find the visualization more helpful than the affirmations, and vice versa. Personally, I found the guided visualization to be the most useful.

I found this disc to offer a very effective means of activating long dormant energy, and a valuable way of connecting with Spirit. Its effectiveness only grows with repetitive use.

Like most people, my husband and I were lost when we first started dealing with his cancer. We believe healing starts in the mind; with keeping a positive outlook. I was grasping for any kind of help, when I randomly selected this tape. I am so very pleased I did. This wonderfully relaxing, and life-affirming tape gave my husband peace, and a quiet determination to endure. He slept better, when BelleRuths' voice softly instructed him, and he felt less pain and anxiety, as she empowered him to will his body to heal. Next to a loving mother, this was the most comforting and encouraging thing we had. No one can say for sure if suggestion cures cancer...and we don't do that now, but we know for sure it made our journey easier. We have since bought 8 more tapes for our friends, and each was grateful we did. We repeated the 'mantra' taught to us:
"Thank you cancer, for teaching us this lesson...you can go now."
And what's really neat? It has. Buy this tape...and God Bless.

A Classic -- Highly recommended

I bought the original cassette tape version of this a decade ago. Having not used something like this at the time I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the product. In the recording Belleruth introduces the process in her gentle, calm voice, and then guides you into relaxation and then a healing visualization journey. I found upon repeated listening what I experienced during the guided imagery changed from time to time. At times it was quite moving and healing. I found it a huge help with feelings of sadness and very relaxing.

Also, a few years ago I was suffering from an illness and wondered if one of her newer CDs might help with my healing. I wrote her via her website, and was pleasantly surprised to get a thoughtful email back from her personally recommending which CD she felt would be best for my situation. She also mentioned other CDs (since produced) she was thinking of making. Her personal email even further reinforced the feelings I had that this person cared about the people she was helping, and not just making more money.

So I highly recommend this CD. Also check out her newer products here on Amazon.com tailored for other life situations. I wish you peace, health and every happiness. ~Michael
